Wood is seeking a PMC Specialist Project Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead engineering teams and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs for mega EPC/EPCm projects. You will manage scope, quality, cost, schedule, and risk, acting as the main technical liaison for the client.

With a strong track record in ADNOC projects and PMC roles, you will drive delivery to time and budget while ensuring compliance with project standards and ensuring effective stakeholder management across client and contractor

Formación

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Typically requires 15 years in a project delivery environment.
Experience in mega EPC/EPCm projects is required.
Previous experience with ADNOC Projects/PMC would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

Oversees a team which manages and coordinates engineering multidiscipline inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centers.
Appraises the Project Engineering team of key execution principles and the contractual basis of the project.
Prepares Discipline Design Instruction and manpower plans; coordinates resources and interfaces.
Interfaces with discipline managers for resources and drives milestones to completion.
Manages design verification, change management and risk mitigation for the project.

Job Objective:

Ensure successful project delivery by leading engineering teams, managing technical scope, controlling quality/cost/schedule, mitigating risks, and coordinating stakeholders (client, contractors), ultimately delivering the project on time, within budget, and to specified standards, acting as the main technical liaison for the client.

Responsibilities

Oversees a team which manages and coordinates engineering multidiscipline inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centers including workshare / high value engineering centers
Appraises the Project Engineering team of the key execution principles and the contractual basis of the project
Prepares Discipline Design Instruction; prepares and checks Project Engineering Manpower Plans, prepares multidiscipline contract requisition scopes
Prepares and checks Project Engineering Manpower Plans
Interfaces with discipline managers for resources
Creates and implements work plan for discipline and inter-discipline interfaces; identifies key dates, milestones and deliverables, drives for completion; manages forecasts
Creates work share plan

HSE, Quality and Assurance

Checks compliance with Project Quality System; able to audit projects; proactively drives team
Ensures Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) reviews are planned and implemented;
supports initiatives
Manages the development of project specific procedures

Responsible for assuring quality of engineering deliverables before issue to customer

Development and management of schedule
Creates and implements work plan for discipline and inter-discipline interfaces; identifies key dates, milestones and deliverables, drives for completion; manages forecasts
Resolves escalated delays and changes, ensures recovery plans are implemented and reviewed
Creates work share plan
Drives and participates in Design Verification; drives others to complete; Understands risk and mitigation requirements
Change Management
Uses knowledge of conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones and change management
Understands customer needs and able to deliver customer satisfaction; actively monitors and supports initiatives
Quantifies effects of change project wide; develops mitigation plans against change and drives change management

People Management

Supervises work of technical professionals in the delivery of engineering deliverables including checking work
Coordinates and manages inputs from large interdisciplinary team (typically 50+)
Provides communication to project team; good at public speaking; strong in leading people to participate and contribute

Expert ability in application of the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
Able to lead Project Engineering team; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups
Good communicator in leading work effort; motivates team; strong positive and active in solutions and proactive attitude
Competent at managing technical matters and interfaces with Third Parties
Able to manage and enhance performance and build effective team
