Job summary

Wood is seeking a PMC Senior Supervisor – Civil for our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role is site-based and focuses on detailed design and supervision of ADNOC projects within the Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

The successful candidate will lead civil supervision teams, ensure compliance with IFC drawings and ADNOC standards, and drive safety and schedule compliance on large-scale EPC/EPCM projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or similar.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas projects.
• PMC experience highly preferable.
• Large-scale EPC/EPCM project experience (CAPEX > USD 500M).
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil supervisors, foremen and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple work areas.
• Ensure manpower deployment and resource utilization.
• Provide technical guidance to site supervision teams.
• Ensure activities comply with IFC drawings, specifications and method statements.

Wood is currently recruiting for an PMC Senior Supervisor – Civil experienced for our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi within our within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be site based at our office in Abu Dhabi.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Senior Supervisor – Civilwith a proven track record in the detailed design of ADNOC projects.

Key objectives for this role are

• Achieve zero harm by enforcing HSE policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture among the workforce and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work and site safety requirements.
• Execute construction activities according to the approved project schedule.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Support achievement of project milestones and key deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections.
• Identify and mitigate construction hazards.
• Participate in incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

Expected

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or similar
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas projects.
• PMC experience is high preferable
• Large projects experience is must. Middle East / GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, etc. is a must
• At least 3+ years’ experience in similar position
• At least 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects
• Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects (CAPEX > USD 500M)
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa
