Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior Process Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight of all process engineering activities across the project lifecycle for a high-profile client in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure process design, safety, operability, and performance meet project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with EPC contractors and cross-functional teams.

As the client's technical representative, you will oversee deliverables, lead safety studies

Qualificações

• 15+ years of relevant experience in process engineering in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical or related sectors.
• Minimum 5 years in PMC, EPC, or major industrial projects in a senior process engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, NACE, NFPA, and IEC standards.
• Experience with process design, simulations, heat and material balance calculations, and equipment sizing.

Responsabilidades

• Review and oversee all process engineering activities performed by EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards, international codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, and operating philosophies.
• Verify heat and material balance calculations, process simulations, and hydraulic studies.
• Review equipment sizing calculations and specifications for vessels, separators, pumps, and exchangers.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, and other process safety studies.
• Ensure process designs meet safety, operability, maintainability, reliability, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, and HSE disciplines.
• Review technical bid evaluations, vendor proposals, and process-related procurement documents.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of process engineering deliverables.
• Evaluate design changes, engineering deviations, and technical queries and provide recommendations.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Senior Process Engineer having a proven track record providing technical leadership and oversight of all process engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that process design, safety, operability, and performance requirements are achieved in accordance with project specifications, client standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. The PMC Senior Process Engineer acts as the client's technical representative, overseeing EPC contractor process engineering deliverables and ensuring successful project execution for a high-profile client.

The key objective for this role is:

To provide technical leadership and oversight for all process engineering activities, ensuring that process systems are designed, reviewed, constructed, commissioned, and operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role aims to deliver optimum plant performance, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Expected:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Master's Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering is preferred and considered an advantage.
• Typically 15+ years of relevant experience in Process Engineering within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Refining, Chemical Processing, or Energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PMC, EPC, or major industrial projects in a senior process engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering codes, standards, and recommended practices such as API, ASME, ISO, NACE, NFPA, and IEC.
• Proven experience in process design, process simulations, heat and material balance calculations, and equipment sizing.
