Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Lead Process Engineer to lead and manage all process engineering activities for ADNOC projects. You will provide technical leadership, oversee EPC contractor deliverables, ensure design integrity, and optimize process performance within scope, schedule, and budget.

You will coordinate with engineering teams, participate in design option analysis, and support installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of oil and gas experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Experience with engineering software and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering for ADNOC projects and coordinate with EPC and IPMT.
  • Review engineering design and ensure compliance with ADNOC specs.
  • Support option development and design optimization.
  • Participate in equipment sizing and layout reviews.
  • Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning.
  • Report to Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager.

Job Objective

To lead and manage all process engineering activities on behalf of the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for ADNOC projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of process design and engineering in alignment with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international best practices. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing EPC contractor deliverables, ensuring design integrity, optimizing process performance, and supporting the successful execution of the project within scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure integration of overall Process Engineering. Overall coordination within IPMT Process Engineering Team
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Process Engineering design activities; review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices
  • Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation
  • Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization
  • Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects
  • Ensure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projects
  • Participate in layout reviews, model review, design reviews, and technical workshops
  • Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers
  • Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation
  • Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning & commissioning
  • Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization
  • Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department
  • Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required
