Job summary

TWMA Middle East Limited in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced heavy equipment operator to operate machinery in line with safety policies, ensuring site cleanliness and assisting the yard team as required.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, lubrication, fault identification, and adherence to preventive maintenance. A UAE heavy-vehicle license (level 4/8) and an operator certificate are required; minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably in oil & gas or energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license at level 4 or level 8 (E)
• Operator certificate in relevant discipline (e.g., Forklift - Excavator) (P)
• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role (E)
• Oil & gas or energy industry experience in a similar role (P)

• Conduct daily vehicle/equipment inspections and complete the inspection form.

• Follow transportation operational procedures for driving work.
• Identify faults on vehicles/equipment and raise service action requests.
• Follow safe working practices at all times.
• Suggest improvements to depot operations.
• Follow Health and Safety Policy and company maintenance procedures.

Job description

Duties:

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and in a safe manner.
• Lubricate, set up and inspect the equipment prior to operation.
• Conduct Vehicle / Equipment daily inspection and complete the inspection form.
• Assist the yard team in the yard duties as required.
• Undertake other work as directed by the Supervisor.
• On driving work, ensure that all transportation operational procedures are followed.
• Identify any faults on vehicles/ Equipment and ensure that these are entered on a daily check list and service action request is raised.
• Follow safe working practices at all times.
• Help to identify ways of continually improving the way work is done at the depot.
• Follow the Company Health and Safety Policy as defined in the Company Management system.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on the vehicles in line with company procedures.
• Undertake other work as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications / Training (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Valid UAE Driving License at level 4 (Heavy Vehicles for Super sucker drivers) or level 8 (Heavy tractor license for Forklift & Excavator drivers) (E)
• Operator certificate in relevant discipline (e.g., Forklift - Excavator) (P)

Experience(s) (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role (E)
• Working experience within the oil & gas or energy industries in similar role within (P)
