Your Role at Cabot
Develops short-term production schedules and manages site logistics and warehousing activities for a specific product line at the plant. Collaborates with hauler and business center functional groups to ensure smooth site planning and logistics operations.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Creates production plans within a 3-month horizon, ensuring the plant has adequate capacity to meet demand. Monitors production backlog and updates JD Edwards accordingly.
- Performs short-term demand planning analysis and recommends solutions for capacity issues.
- Develops inventory stocking levels and planning for in-plant bulk inventory. Monitors material supply and alerts to potential shortages.
- Monitors SKUs and contributes to long-range planning processes.
- Maintains logistics systems involving inventory management at the plant, field warehouse, and consignment levels.
- Works closely with business service center teams and external service providers like haulers to ensure smooth execution of production and logistics activities.
- Collaborates with the WPS team to execute logistics and warehouse operations according to SOPs and local guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with site safety standards, ISO, SOX, and 5S expectations. Maintains necessary documentation as per retention policies.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Basic knowledge of inventory management, production planning, logistics, and related principles.
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of JD Edwards is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
