Job summary

ABU ALNAGA CONTRACTING in Dubai seeks a Construction Planning Engineer to develop and maintain the project baseline programme, monitor progress, and ensure milestones are met. The role involves weekly and monthly progress reports and corrective actions with project teams.

The ideal candidate has a civil/ construction management background, 4–7 years UAE/GCC planning experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 4–7 years UAE or GCC planning experience on high-rise or large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel; reporting in MS PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (civil, structural, MEP).
• Strong analytical, time-management and organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Monitor construction progress and compare actual vs planned work.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, and look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams and subcontractors.
• Support resource planning, recovery schedules, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and contractual milestones.
