Job summary

PTD-Power Transmission & Distribution - IC is hiring for a Project Planner to develop, monitor, and control schedules using Primavera P6 for substation projects in Abu Dhabi. The role requires a BE and 9–17 years of experience with a proven track record in complex schedules.

You will be responsible for defining activities, sequencing, logic, durations, resources, costs, and maintaining weekly/monthly progress updates and KPI dashboards for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) required.
• 9–17 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in Substation Projects is a must.

Job Description

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Define activity sequencing, logic links, and relationships.
• Assign activity durations, resources, and cost loading.
• Identify critical path and milestone dates.
• Update and maintain project schedule on a weekly/monthly basis.

Progress Monitoring & Control

• Track site progress and compare with baseline schedule.
• Conduct delay analysis and identify slippages.
• Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
• Monitor critical activities and resource allocation.
• Analyze float consumption and schedule risks.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Generate S-curves (planned vs actual progress).
• Prepare look-ahead schedules (2-week / 3-week).
• Submit progress dashboards and KPI reports to management.
• Maintain schedule revisions and change records.
