Job summary

Work corp in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, seeks a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the principles and procedures of physical therapy and a current license to practice in Sharjah (if required).

Responsibilities include administering physical therapy treatments, assessing patient function, developing treatment plans, instructing therapeutic exercises, maintaining records, and consulting with other healthcare professionals to plan

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited school.
• Current license to practice Physiotherapy in Sharjah (if necessary).
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist working with a variety of patients and conditions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts related to physiotherapy in an understandable manner to patients/caregivers.
• Ability to establish strong relationships with patients/caregivers and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Administering physical therapy treatments by giving massages, providing traction, applying hot and cold packs, using ultrasound equipment, and administering electrical stimulation.
• Assessing patient function by observing performance, palpating areas of the body for areas of tenderness or dysfunction, testing strength and range of motion, measuring performance tests such as balance or gait.
• Developing treatment plans based on patient assessment results that specify the type and frequency of treatment required.
• Instructing patients in therapeutic exercises to improve their range of motion and strength as well as measure their progress.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient progress according to regulatory standards.
• Consulting with other healthcare professionals such as doctors or chiropractors to plan an appropriate treatment plan for the patient’s specific condition.
