The Physiotherapist - Post-Acute Rehabilitation will be responsible for delivering intensive, goal-oriented rehabilitation to patients transitioning from acute care. The role involves managing post-acute cases, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based rehabilitation protocols. The physiotherapist will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimize functional recovery, ensure continuity of care, and support safe discharge planning. Experience in structured rehabilitation programs, outcome measurement, and managing complex functional impairments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized post-acute rehabilitation programs for patients based on functional goals and clinical needs.
• Deliver intensive, structured rehabilitation interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress using standardized outcome measures, modify treatment plans accordingly, and document care accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care, goal alignment, and effective discharge planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation goals, home programs, safety, and continuation of care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Valid MOH / DHA / DOH license to practice as a Physiotherapist in the UAE.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in post-acute rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, or similar settings.
• Proven experience in managing neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation cases in a structured rehabilitation environment.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based rehabilitation protocols, outcome measures, and functional goal setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and manage patients with complex functional needs.
