Overview

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) seeks an experienced Physics Trainer to join its academic team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality preparatory instruction in Physics to support students’ academic readiness and success in undergraduate programs. The Physics Trainer will help students build strong foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and problem‑solving abilities required for university‑level studies.

Teaching Responsibilities

• Deliver Physics preparatory courses that build students’ conceptual understanding and problem‑solving skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations aligned with AUE academic standards.
• Support students who meet entry requirements but require additional academic reinforcement in Physics.
• Provide academic guidance and tutoring to students to enhance performance and retention.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and academic support.
• Review, revise, and enhance the Physics preparatory curriculum, assessments, and learning activities.
• Coordinate with Mathematics and Computing trainers to ensure curriculum alignment.
• Maintain accurate academic records and reports as required by the university.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and academic development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Physics at university, foundation, or preparatory level.
• Strong knowledge of introductory and applied Physics concepts.
• Experience teaching preparatory, foundation, or bridging programs is highly preferred.
• Ability to teach diverse student groups with varying academic backgrounds.
