Job summary

Avanta Works in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. You will dispense medications, counsel patients, and ensure accurate medication orders in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Registration/license as a Pharmacist in Sharjah.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions from doctors
• Counsel patients on drug therapies, potential side effects, drug interactions and dosage instructions
• Select drugs from cabinets/shelves/computers according to prescriptions
• Compound medications using manual or automated equipment
• Ensure accuracy when preparing, packaging, labeling and verifying medication orders
• Maintain control records on all drugs received or dispensed
• Keep records of drugs supplied to patients
• Assist in maintaining medication stocks by ordering new stocks when necessary

Education

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification
