Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical advice to patients, assessing and interpreting physicians' prescriptions, and monitoring the health and progress of patients to ensure they are using medications safely and effectively. You will ensure the safe and effective dispensing of prescribed medications. The salary offered is 1200 AED per month depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Your primary duties will include assessing patients' health needs by reviewing their medical history and performing physical exams.
• You must be able to explain how medications work, their side effects, and how to take them correctly.
• Additionally, you will monitor patient progress by reviewing patient records, checking laboratory results, evaluating medications for safety and effectiveness, and referring relevant information to other healthcare professionals as needed.
• You should also be able to educate patients on the use of non-prescription medicines as well as provide advice on healthier lifestyle choices.
• Furthermore, you will have to maintain accurate records of prescriptions filled, dispensed drugs, cost information, patient profiles, test results, etc.

Requirements

• To be successful in this role you must possess a pharmacy degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure in Umm-al-Qaiwain.
• A strong understanding of pharmacology principles is essential along with excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous but not essential for this role.
• Furthermore, you should possess the ability to stay current on new medications and treatments while having an awareness of cultural differences among different patient populations in order to provide culturally competent care.
