Job summary

The Lana in Dubai, part of the Dorchester Collection, is seeking a Female Personal Trainer to join the Rooms - Fitness Center. You will create personalized fitness plans, coach guests 1-on-1 or in small groups, and design engaging classes with Pilates and Yoga elements.

Work in a luxury hotel setting with a dedicated spa team, uphold safety and hygiene standards, and promote wellness packages while living our values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in recreation and guest care in a luxury environment.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills with a guest-centric approach.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive and memorable experiences for spa visitors and hotel guests.
• Support the Spa and Wellness facility with the department head and team.
• Deliver fitness techniques and training programs 1-2-1 or in small groups.
• Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs for individuals or small groups.
• Lead group classes including Pilates and Yoga.
• Offer premium 1-on-1 coaching tailored to guest goals.
• Be knowledgeable about fitness modalities, machines and wellness products.
• Ensure safety and hygiene in the fitness area and educate guests on gym etiquette.
• Assess fitness levels and health conditions to tailor regimens.
• Conduct detailed fitness assessments and sessions.
• Develop individualized exercise plans and monitor progress with guests.

What You'll Do

• You will play an integral role in providing a positive and memorable experience for all our spa visitors and hotel guests
• Provide essential support to the Spa and Wellness facility working closely with its department head and spa team Legends (and other departments collaboratively) to ensure a seamlessly smooth running of its operations and beyond
• Perform a wide range of fitness techniques and training programs working closely with our guests on a 1-2-1 or group (small class) basis
• Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs tailored to individual guest goals or small group settings.
• Lead specialized group classes, drawing on a strong foundational knowledge of disciplines like Pilates and Yoga.
• Provide premium 1-on-1 coaching, ensuring a highly personalized experience for guests.
• Be knowledgeable on all fitness modalities, machines and functional training programs offered, retail items sold and products used to support the services and guest needs and be able to utilize, as per expected standards, keeping up-to-date with latest trend reports and technologies in order to research new techniques that benefit the guest and promote the Wellness packages and plans
• Supervise the safe use of the fitness area and all equipment informing guests about gym etiquette and hygiene guidelines
• Evaluate each client’s fitness levels and health conditions in order to create and execute the correct physical and nutritional regimen suited to the individual
• Effectively conduct detailed fitness assessments, classes and personal training sessions
• Build individualized exercise programs and fitness regimes explaining in detail while developing a plan that supports the fitness levels and desired results of the guest monitoring closely progress

What You'll Bring

• You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the Spa and Wellness team
• Have a strong background in recreation and guest care in the luxury environment, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience handling
• You have a talent for interacting, organizing, a strong attention to detail, and can effectively demonstrate exceptional guest relations
• Possess good team spirit, empathy and be guest-centric
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You will have great skills in this area with a strong customer service ethic and know of its importance
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language. Proficiency in any additional languages is a highly valued advantage.
