About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for aPastry Chefto join Jumeirah Mina Al Salam. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Create a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and confections, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Develop and refine recipes, experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to create innovative and appealing pastry offerings.
  • Collaborate with management to design and plan pastry menus that align with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
  • Source and manage high-quality ingredients, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring proper storage and handling to prevent spoilage and waste.
  • Train and supervise pastry staff, providing guidance on techniques, standards, and best practices to ensure effective team performance and skill development.
  • Manage the cost of ingredients and supplies, implementing cost control measures to maintain profitability while ensuring high-quality output.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Brings over 10 years of international experience within five-star hotels and restaurants, with a strong foundation in luxury service environments.
  • Recognized for strong leadership and team management skills, fostering high-performing teams and collaborative work environments.
  • College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
  • Expert in menu development, pricing, production, and delivery skills.
  • Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak).
