Job summary

Want More is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in El-Ain, Egypt. You will maintain and calibrate biometric processing instruments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate results while keeping detailed maintenance records. We value independent workers who collaborate with technicians and train junior staff.

Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus. A valid biometric passport is required for the role, and prior experience with biometric scanners or passport

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
• Experience with biometric scanners or passport printers is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic systems and circuitry.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments used in biometric passport processing.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with instruments as needed.
• Ensure all instruments are functioning properly and accurately record results.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for instruments.
• Train and supervise junior technicians on instrument maintenance procedures.
• Keep detailed records of instrument maintenance and repair activities.
