Job summary

Volt Management Services Limited is seeking a meticulous painter to join our Dubai-based construction team. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints, and ensure a smooth, professional finish across all painted areas.

The role requires physical fitness and comfort working outdoors at heights, with attention to safety and accuracy. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years’ experience, an apprenticeship in painting and decorating, and may have NVQ credentials.

Qualifications

• KCSE or equivalent educational background.
• Completed apprenticeship in painting and decorating.
• NVQ certification in painting and decorating may be advantageous.
• 3 years of working experience in painting and decorating.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting including cleaning, sanding, filling and priming.
• Select and mix paints, varnishes and finishes to match required colours.
• Apply paint and finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Mask and protect surfaces, fixtures and fittings from painting.
• Apply multiple coats and ensure even coverage and finish.
• Carry out touch-ups and final finishing to specification.
• Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding or mobile platforms.
• Inspect finished work for quality and consistency.
• Clean and maintain brushes, rollers and spraying equipment.
• Dispose of paint waste and materials safely and responsibly.

We are looking for a meticulous painter to join our construction team. The responsibilities of the painter include preparing surfaces mixing and applying paints and finishes and ensuring a smooth even and professional finish across all painted areas.

To be a successful painter you should have a steady hand and a good eye for colour texture and finish. Ultimately a top-notch painter should be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors at various heights.

Painter Responsibilities:

• Preparing surfaces for painting including cleaning sanding filling and priming.
• Selecting and mixing paints varnishes and finishes to match required colours and shades.
• Applying paint and finishes using brushes rollers and spray equipment.
• Masking and protecting surfaces fixtures and fittings not to be painted.
• Applying multiple coats and ensuring even coverage and finish.
• Carrying out touch-ups and final finishing to specification.
• Erecting and working safely from ladders scaffolding or mobile platforms.
• Inspecting finished work for quality and consistency.
• Cleaning and maintaining brushes rollers and spraying equipment.
• Disposing of paint waste and materials safely and responsibly.

Painter Requirements:

• KCSE
• Kenyan Passport (valid minimum 1 year validity)
• Certified Grade Test
• 3 years working experience
• A completed apprenticeship in painting and decorating.
• A completed Work Safely at Heights short course.
• An NVQ certification in painting and decorating may be advantageous.
• Basic work experience in construction may be advantageous.
• A good understanding of health and safety issues.
• The ability to read and follow instructions and specifications.
• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A head for heights.
• Good physical fitness.
• Strong practical and teamwork skills.
