Job Accountabilities

• 1. Routine Painting Task

  Responsible for painting interior, exterior, and various surfaces of residential or commercial assets using paint, varnishes, sealers or stains. Tasks include pre‑painting preparation (sandpaper, scraping, surface preparation), applying fillers, mixing and matching finishes, and maintaining paint equipment. All tools are cleaned after each job.

  Time allocation: 50%

  Performance measures: Quality and quantity of work done; Turn‑around time.

• 2. Coordination & Communication

  Communicate with the team to determine painting requirements and help them make best decisions for projects. Demonstrates strong observation, focus, and good communication with supervisor. Keeps an inventory of paint and supplies and follows management’s instructions.

  Time allocation: 10%

  Performance measure: Supervisor feedback.

• 3. Teamwork

  Support the entire team, assist with all types of job related to the workplace, and aid in storing leftover paint in appropriate locations.

  Time allocation: 10%

  Performance measure: On‑the‑job progress.

• 4. HSE Compliance & Punctuality

  Strictly adhere to safe work practices, report any non‑compliance, follow pandemic rules, and comply with HSE guidelines for hazardous chemicals. Stay up to date with storage and disposal laws. Report duties as per schedule and remain flexible to maintenance team requirements.

  Time allocation: 10%

  Performance measures: Personal hygiene / wearing PPE; compliance to HSE standards; attendance record.

• 5. Special Jobs

  Handle special jobs assigned by the line manager and support the team with special maintenance projects. May involve assembling scaffolding as required.

  Time allocation: 20%

  Performance measure: Completion of tasks within set time limits.

Job Requirements

• Academic – Secondary School Certificate / High School Preferred.
• Professional – L1 literacy in English.
• Formal Training – Years of industry experience and on‑the‑job training.
• Practical Experience – 5+ years of overall experience in painting work and knowledge of paint, chemicals and skills in using multiple equipment for application. Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills. Physically fit with good hand‑eye coordination.
