The St. Regis Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Hotel Maintenance Technician responsible for repair and upkeep of equipment and the building. You will perform painting, plaster, wallpaper tasks and support preventive maintenance under the direction of the engineering team.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or GED and experience in general maintenance, exterior/interior surface preparation and painting. Marriott International offers equal opportunity employment and a path to growth.

Responsabilités

• Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint.
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
• Apply paint, vinyl, decorative paint and wallpaper to walls, furniture and structures.
• View transcendent work orders, execute the jobs and close in system.
• Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires.
• Handling planning and prep work efficiently.
• Examine and maintain painted surfaces and fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, and clear finishes.
• Order paint supplier and materials.
• Choose and purchase paint, brushes, and supplies from vendors.
• Operate and maintain various power and manual tools.
• Follow protection procedures and clean up the site.

Job Requirement

To assist or perform repair and maintenance of equipment and physical structure of the hotel in safe, efficient and professional manner, and maintain the hotel to ensure our property is preferred destination and work place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
• Apply paint, vinyl, decorative paint and wallpaper including special paper and fabrics to all walls, furniture and structure.
• View transcendent work orders, execute the jobs and close in system.
• Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires
• Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
• Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surface, trimming and fixture
• Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
• Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
• Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
• Removing fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers
• Taping off areas as needed
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishing
• Operate and maintain high pressure low volume spray machine
• Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate material
• Mud and tape drywall surfaces
• Apply wood finishing by suitable preparing surface
• Perform maintenance request
• Order paint supplier and materials
• Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
• Operate and maintain various power and manual tools
• Follow establish protection procedure
• Clean up job site work and return equipment and tools
• Maintain clean work environment
• Attend daily briefing and get a handover from the previous shift
• Follow the routine Preventive maintenance task activity and recorded accordingly
• Take care of any guest/ staff requests and complete them within the appropriate time.
• Assist duty engineer to establishes and maintain seamless interaction and communication with all related departments.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.

Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
