Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City - SSMC in Abu Dhabi invites a Specialist Physician to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and to supervise junior medical staff within the Division.

The role requires active participation in meetings, adherence to policies, mentoring, on-call coverage, documentation, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tier 1: No additional experience is required post board certification.
• Tier 2: NL T 2 years of clinical experience post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
• Tier 3: NL T 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
• Current national license or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supports and adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
• Assists with supervision of junior medical staff and organizes ward rounds.
• Documents clinical information clearly and timely.
• Collaborates with other specialties and support services for patient care.
• Participates in on-call coverage on evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Promotes quality improvement and participates in clinical research.
