Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of patients' oral health issues
  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including tooth extractions, jaw surgery, and dental implants
  • Oversee patient recovery post-surgery and provide guidance on rehabilitation
  • Communicate effectively with patients about treatment plans, risks, and benefits
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary dental team to deliver cohesive patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development to stay at the forefront of oral surgery practices
Requirements
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in oral surgery or a dental practice setting
