VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for an Oracle ERP Application Developer for our UAE operations.

Skill Set Required

• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
• Professional qualification in Computer Science
• Comprehensive understanding of ERP products from a functional and technical perspective for Oracle E-Business suite R12 modules; Oracle Financials, Oracle FAH, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle Inventory, Oracle iProcurement, Procurement Contract and Oracle HRMS
• Strong understanding of implementation methodologies for the technology used in product development
• Adherence to good development practices and software development life cycle methodologies such as SDLC, Agile
• Ability to work with and enhance complex, highly integrated enterprise applications
• Ability to develop technical solutions to business requirements in a complex applications environment
• Specific knowledge of Core Banking System and its integration with Oracle FAH
• Attendance of general management, people management and change management courses
• Managerial skills to lead & control a sizable team of staff
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of Banking Law and Practices

Responsibilities

• Ensure the successful installation of large and/or complex systems by undertaking assigned project/quality assurance work, developing programs, testing and installation in a timely manner
• Contribute to the design and development of automated systems independently or by assisting a supervisor
• Participate in every aspect of the development and implementation, working with business analysts to understand change implications on current business processes
• Design and build product deliverables according to specifications, escalating technical design or specification issues to business analyst/project manager and application development head, and working within a given time frame to complete coding
• Ensure proper use of systems by the users by reviewing usage, resolving errors and training users
• Contribute to the availability of computer systems by investigating and solving system errors
• Ensure up-to-date user and system documentation by updating program specs, preparing and testing release instructions and assisting in the preparation of user manuals
• Implement audit recommendations and ensure operations are performed in line with bank standards
• Contribute to the bank’s profitability by negotiating best prices from suppliers and proposing use of technical advances to reduce cost / generate profit
• Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
