Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) Technical Consultant to support, enhance, and optimize enterprise planning solutions within a banking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining business rules, Groovy scripts, Forms, Dashboards, and Reports, while ensuring optimal application performance and seamless data integration.

The role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle EPBCS, Essbase calculation scripting, Groovy rule development, and Data Management, combined with a solid understanding of banking planning, budgeting, forecasting, FTP, balance sheet, and profitability processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support Oracle EPBCS applications.
• Configure and maintain metadata, dimensions, security, forms, dashboards, and planning workflows.
• Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

Business Rules Development

• Develop and maintain Essbase calculation scripts and business rules.
• Implement complex allocations, driver-based calculations, forecasting logic, and planning models.
• Optimize rule execution and ensure efficient processing for large-scale planning applications.
• Perform impact assessments and code reviews for enhancements and production releases.

Groovy Rules Development

• Develop advanced Groovy business rules to improve user experience and application performance.
• Build dynamic validations, smart calculations, runtime prompts, and automation processes.
• Implement Groovy-based data movement and integration solutions.
• Leverage Groovy scripting to reduce calculation times and optimize application performance.
• Design and maintain Planning Forms aligned with business requirements.
• Develop management dashboards and reporting solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure data presentation is intuitive and aligned with business needs.

Performance Optimization

• Analyze existing business rules and application structures to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Apply business rule performance enhancement methodologies including:
• Block creation optimization.
• Calculation order optimization.
• Groovy-driven calculation improvements.
• Monitor application performance and recommend best practices for scalability.

Data Management & Integration

• Develop and support Data Management (DM) integrations and data loads.
• Configure import formats, locations, mappings, load rules, and data load workflows.
• Troubleshoot data integration issues and ensure data quality and reconciliation.
• Support inbound and outbound integrations between EPBCS and source systems.

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of Oracle Hyperion Planning / EPBCS technical experience.
• Strong experience in:
• Business Rules Development.
• Groovy Rules Development.
• Planning Forms Development.
• Dashboards and Management Reporting.
• Financial Reporting and Smart View.
• Data Management (DM) / Data Integration.
