Job summary

Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions L.L.C-S.P.C is seeking an experienced Oracle Infrastructure specialist in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on Exadata and engineered systems administration, patching, and performance tuning across Exadata, ODA, ZDLRA, and PCA environments.

You will manage SPARC/x86 servers, Solaris/Linux, and scripting tasks while documenting processes and interfacing with clients to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years hands-on experience in Oracle infrastructure and engineered systems administration.
• Deep understanding of Exadata core architecture and features.
• Experience with Exadata installations, patching, and health checks.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SPARC and x86 servers.
• Familiarity with Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux.
• Proficiency in RMAN and Data Pump tools.
• Experience with Oracle OEM and Exadata certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer patches and troubleshoot Exadata and related engineered systems.
• Administer ODA, ZDLRA, and PCA platforms.
• Operate Oracle SPARC and x86 servers with hardware lifecycle management.
• Produce technical documentation including runbooks and incident reports.
• Liaise with clients providing professional guidance and maintaining relationships.

Deploy administer patch and troubleshoot Oracle engineered systems including Exadata Oracle Database Appliance ODA Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance ZDLRA and Private Cloud Appliance PCA Manage and maintain Oracle SPARC and x86 server platforms including hardware lifecycle management firmware updates and capacity planningAdminister Oracle ZFS Storage solutions covering configuration replication performance optimization and fault resolutionOperate and support Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux environments at an advanced administrative levelConduct proactive health checks risk assessments and infrastructure reviews for client environmentsRespond to and resolve escalated technical issues in a timely and methodical manner ensuring minimal impact to client operationsProduce clear and accurate technical documentation including runbooks incident reports and configuration recordsLiaise directly with clients providing professional guidance and maintaining strong working relationships

4-6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle infrastructure and engineered systems administration.

Deep understanding of Oracle Exadata including:

• Core architecture and components (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand network)
• Key features such as Smart Scan, Hybrid Columnar Compression, Storage Indexes, and Flash Cache
• Basic understanding of Exadata patching and maintenance lifecycle

Demonstrated expertise on Oracle Exadata including:

• Exadata System Installations, deployments and configurations
• Patching and upgrade activities
• Routine Maintenance and health checks

Practical working knowledge of ODA, ZDLRA, and PCA platforms

Good understanding of:

• Oracle Database fundamentals (RAC/ASM concepts)
• ASM disk group management
• Oracle Database Backup & Recovery Tools (RMAN/ Data Pump)

Solid experience administering Oracle SPARC and x86 servers

Experience with Oracle ZFS Storage architecture and management

Strong command of Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux operating systems

Working knowledge of Oracle KVM virtualization

Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Basic knowledge of Oracle Cloud services
• Practical knowledge of ExaCC
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing protocols, and network security principles
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell or Python
• Oracle certifications (OCA, OCP, or platform-specific credentials)
