The job involves managing infrastructure, automating cloud processes, and scripting to streamline operations. It focuses on ensuring security, optimizing performance, and monitoring systems to maintain efficiency. The role includes troubleshooting and incident management to address any issues promptly. Collaboration with teams and maintaining thorough documentation are key components, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge sharing. Additionally, the role involves autonomous management and cloning of databases, as well as overseeing Fusion Cloud Administration to maintain smooth cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
- Monitor and assess the health and performance of cloud infrastructure, such as virtual machines (VMs), networking, storage, and databases.
- Provision, configure, and troubleshoot cloud-based resources and services.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline tasks and improve cloud operations using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Python.
- Automate deployments and manage services by utilizing Oracle Cloud APIs and CLI tools.
- Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring compliance with internal security policies and external regulations.
- Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) roles, policies, and other security features in OCI.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure scalability.
- Leverage OCI’s monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Oracle Cloud Observability and Management) to track metrics and logs for system health.
- Recommend and implement improvements to optimize performance and minimize costs.
- Respond to and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and continuity of business operations.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues related to network, storage, compute, and other cloud resources.
- Collaborate with DevOps, network, and security teams to develop cloud solutions that align with business needs.
- Prepare detailed documentation on cloud architectures, policies, procedures, and incidents for internal reference and compliance.
- Manage, secure, and operate databases, ensuring accurate storage and retrieval of data.
- Provision, back up, patch, upgrade, and scale Autonomous databases as needed.
- Handle admin-related configurations, manage security, roles, and access for software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications within the company's technology portfolio.
- Ensure the performance of Fusion Cloud and on-premises ERP applications, refreshing lower environments from production as required by business needs.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably Computer Science or Information Science), or equivalent
- Minimum 06 years' experience in a similar role and industry
