Job description

An experienced consulting professional with a strong understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product or technology family.

Operates independently to deliver high-quality work products on engagements. Performs varied and complex duties requiring independent judgment to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

May act as a team lead on projects and consult effectively with management of customer organizations.

Participates in business development activities and develops/configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

As an Oracle HCM Financial Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and estimating customer business requirements and translating them into Oracle HCM / Oracle Cloud HCM solutions aligned with the customer’s environment and objectives.

  • Lead complex functional/process analysis, facilitate workshops with senior customer resources, and specify system, application, or process designs.
  • Participate in bid processes, mapping client requirements to product functionality, and lead solution reviews and configurations.
  • Coordinate with business analysts, management, functional and technical architects, designers, developers, and test teams throughout project implementation.
  • Lead teams of designers and developers during implementation, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of Oracle HCM architecture and Oracle’s implementation methodology.
  • Support testing, defect analysis, and fixing in coordination with product development and support teams.
  • Stay updated on Oracle solutions and product roadmap, with a good understanding of Oracle technology.
What you will do

Analyze business needs, recommend product hierarchy programming, and modify solutions to meet customer requirements, including writing custom reports and exports.

The Functional Consultant will:

  • Identify appropriate software architecture based on specifications.
  • Analyze requirements, define solution parameters, and produce estimates.
  • Conduct workshops to gather requirements and define customer needs.
  • Estimate solutions, participate in high-level planning, and contribute to project methodology.
  • Engage in pre-sales activities and technical proposal writing.
  • Lead functional design processes and facilitate workshops.
  • Negotiate and manage scope to mitigate risks.
  • Apply industry-wide knowledge of technology, tools, and methodologies to develop solutions in critical situations.
  • Build trust as a trusted adviser with customers.
  • Manage customer relationships during implementation.
  • Assist developers with detailed software design specifications.

Perform version control and maintain compilation schedules.

  • Review technical solution designs and configurations aligned with functional solutions.
  • Conduct client and internal trainings.
  • Coordinate with the product team for future enhancements.
  • Be a strong team player with analytical skills.
