Job summary

Work standard is seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our Dibba-El-Fujairah team. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, assess vision needs, and advise on corrective lenses and eyewear selection to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry, has at least three years of experience, and is proficient with standard optometric instruments. You will contribute to patient health, education, and ongoing ocular care within a patient‑friendly

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Optometry from an accredited university.
At least three years of experience as an optometrist.
Ability to use optometric instruments such as the phoropter, visual acuity tester, retinoscope, keratometer.
Knowledgeable about contact lens fitting techniques.
Knowledgeable about ocular diseases diagnosis and management.
Excellent communication skills with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Perform eye examinations on patients to determine their vision needs.
Analyze test results to determine the proper corrective lenses or eyewear selection for the patient.
Provide advice on contact lens fitting techniques based on patient’s individual needs.
Monitor patients’ ocular health over time by performing follow-up visits.
Dispense optical products such as eyeglasses or contact lenses.
