Work Standard in Ajman is seeking an Optometrist to join our team. We are open to immigrant applicants. No experience is required for this position, but a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field is mandatory.

Duties include examining eyes with specialized equipment, diagnosing eye conditions, recommending lenses, and fitting glasses or contacts. Candidates should know optometry software, have good computer skills and organizational ability, and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients' eyes using specialist equipment such as ophthalmoscopes and retinoscopes
• Diagnose eye diseases, conditions and vision problems, such as nearsightedness or astigmatism
• Assess patients' vision needs and recommending corrective lenses or treatment solutions
• Fitting, adjusting and dispensing eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids as prescribed by an ophthalmologist or optometrist
