Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or a related field is required.
• Proven working experience as an Optometrist is preferred.
• Ability to recognize, diagnose, and treat ocular disorders accurately.
• Knowledgeable in current optometric technology and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vision problems by examining patients’ eyes using specialized instruments.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses based on patient needs.
• Conduct vision tests to assess visual acuity.
• Educate patients on the importance of regular eye examinations.
• Develop treatment plans for eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
• Monitor the progress of existing treatments for eye diseases.
• Ensure that all equipment used is adequately maintained and calibrated.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans.
