Job summary

The successful candidate will perform refraction, ocular health assessments, glaucoma management, and contact lens fitting, while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient education. A valid UAE license is required, with 3+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification is required.
• Must be able to obtain a valid license from the UAE Ministry of Health or equivalent governing body to practice optometry in El-Ain.
• At least 3 years of experience working as an Optometrist is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including refraction, ocular health assessment, visual field analysis, tonometry, and contact lens fitting
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal diseases, etc.
• Educate patients on proper eyecare
• Make recommendations for glasses or contact lenses based on patient needs
• Prescribe medications when necessary
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
