Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Engineer as part of the IGNITE Trainee Program. Ideal for fresh graduates in opto-mechanical engineering, the role involves using CAD modeling software to design and analyze components with guidance from senior engineers. Responsibilities
- Use 3D CAD modeling software to create opto-mechanical components and assemblies.
- Design, develop, analyze, document, and test opto-mechanical components with the support of senior engineers.
- Learn how to conduct analysis (tolerance, thermal, structural, optical, etc.) using appropriate tools.
- Leverage engineering tools such as CAD and FEA software.
- Perform basic design calculations affecting performance.
- Participate in design reviews and understand existing systems.
- Learn to design for manufacturability of components.
- Generate data packs and files to support manufacturing.
Skills
Knowledge and understanding of key opto-mechanical engineering concepts
Basic knowledge in using CAD modeling and simulation tools
Basic understanding of optical modeling and simulation tools
Basic understanding of manufacturing and testing processes
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Willingness to learn and grow in a multidisciplinary environment
