Overview

Are you interested in driving significant packaging waste reduction projects for Amazon and making a difference in the world of sustainability? We are looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Senior Operations Manager to drive e‑commerce packaging projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in an emerging business at Amazon. The role will be responsible for driving packaging projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and leveraging best practices from other geographies across RoW (GCC LATAM IN/JP). The leader will be a natural self‑starter who is comfortable supporting both daily execution activities and large complex cross‑functional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the packaging roadmap for the region.
  • Be the technical expert on packing productivity, box suite optimization, and packaging material specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with worldwide teams to identify share and implement best practices that improve packaging performance.
  • Coordinate and communicate packaging improvements and progress updates to key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation, logistics.
  • 3 years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.
  • Proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to completion.
