Job Title: Operations Manager – Algorithmic Trading

About the Role

Our client is a quantitative, technology-led electronic market maker looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to drive the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of our trading operations.

This is a high-impact position sitting at the intersection of clients, trading, and technology. You will play a central role in keeping mission-critical trading systems running smoothly while contributing to strategic operational improvements. The role is designed as a clear pathway into senior operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and resolve complex trading and client-related operational issues, including escalations around pricing, execution, and system behaviour
• Investigate trading incidents using logs, trade data, SQL, and Linux-based tools to identify root causes
• Act as a key link between clients, trading, and engineering teams, translating technical issues into clear business updates
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce inefficiencies and enhance operational performance
• Serve as a power user of internal trading and market-making systems, ensuring stability and smooth day-to-day operations

Required Experience

• Experience within a trading, brokerage, market-making, or exchange environment (FX, equities, crypto, or derivatives)
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, order types, and execution mechanics
• Familiarity with FIX connectivity and trading system behaviour
• Proven experience handling live trading incidents or operational disruptions
• Client-facing experience resolving execution or system-related issues

Technology Environment

• Linux-based infrastructure
