Wood is recruiting an Engineering Manager for ADNOC offshore client to lead the engineering department from Abu Dhabi office. The role requires directing a team, setting standards, and ensuring successful project execution in Oil, Gas & New Energies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum twenty (20+) years of relevant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
• Preferably minimum five (5) years in GCC region and PMC experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to office‑based engineering teams to achieve high performance and engagement.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and governance frameworks across all disciplines.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet required quality, safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Oversee engineering execution across multiple projects to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery.
• Plan, allocate, and optimize engineering resources based on project priorities and workload forecasts.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Act as the primary engineering interface with project management, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and decision‑making support on complex or critical engineering issues.
• Ensure integration of HSE and design safety principles within office‑based engineering activities.
• Support proposal development, estimates, and technical inputs for bids and tenders.
