Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil is seeking an OCTG Engineer/Inspector to perform thorough inspections of OCTG products, including casing and tubing, per industry standards. You will review test results, witness NDT, and report findings with documentation to ensure compliance.

The role requires an education in Mechanical/Electrical engineering, DS-1/NDT certification, and at least 3 years in OCTG inspection, with strong knowledge of OCTG fundamentals for onshore and offshore projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• DS-1, NDT Certification or client/QCC approval.
• Experience in inspection and certification of OCTG equipment.
• Knowledge of OCTG fundamentals and onshore/offshore applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of OCTG products, including casing and tubing.
• Review and verify test results with proper documentation.
• Witness NDT or other tests as required by client or customer.
• Identify non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with production.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings clearly.
• Stay updated with industry standards and best practices for OCTG products.

1.4. Key Working Relationship

IVS Manager, IVS Technical/Deputy Manager, Administrator/Coordinator and Technical Assistance.

2. Minimum Required Qualifications

2.1. Education

Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Mechanical /Electrical and/or any other equivalent.

2.2. Training / Specialty

DS-1, NDT Certification or equivalent i.e. Client/QCC approval, In house training for Inspection and testing of all types of OCTG equipment for onshore/offshore

2.3. Technical knowledge

Fundamentals of OCTG Equipment (onshore/offshore)

2.4. Experience

Min. 3 years in inspection and certification of NDT 0r OCTG

3 Responsibilities / Authorities

3.1. Primary Functions

• Conduct / Perform thorough inspections of OCTG products, including casing and tubing, in accordance with industry standards and specifications.
• Review and verify test results and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Witness NDT or any other special test requires by client or customer.
• Identify and report any non-conformance issues, working with production teams to implement corrective actions.
• Conduct field inspections and oversee the loading and unloading of OCTG shipment.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to OCTG products.

• Prepare Reports as per the inspection result and deliver the required deliverables.
