Job summary

NorthBay, LLC is seeking an experienced NLP Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade NLP and Generative AI solutions. You will own end-to-end AI initiatives and shape our NLP/LLM engineering practices.

You will collaborate with ML engineers, software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders, mentor engineers, and stay current with the latest research and frameworks in NLP and Generative AI. This role emphasizes scalable systems and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in NLP/ML or Generative AI
• Proficient Python with PyTorch and Hugging Face
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems to production

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable NLP and LLM-powered solutions.
• Architect RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector search.
• Fine-tune and optimize transformer models for production.
• Build data, training, inference, and evaluation pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and guide NLP/Generative AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, software engineers, product teams.
