Job summary

American Hospital Dubai in Dubai, UAE seeks a dedicated nurse for NICU coverage from neonates to paediatrics. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and family-centered care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a nursing degree and RN registration with a valid BLS certification, plus at least two years in NICU. UAE nationals have special training exemptions where applicable. A strong commitment to JCIA standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (minimum 3 years full-time) or degree in Nursing with RN registration
• RN registration from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia
• UAE nationals: exemption from experience and clinical training; born in UAE country needs birth certificate and mother’s book
• Non-UAE graduates from UAE universities: six months of clinical training post-graduation in an APS health facility
• Must hold valid license/registration to practice in home country or country of last employment
• Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or as per scope of practice
• Minimum of two years post-graduate NICU experience
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care and family involvement

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care for NICU patients using the nursing process
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care and plan
• Perform unit-specific procedures like incubator management and assisting with intubation in neonates
• Maintain unit safety, infection control, and JCIA mandatory education
• Document data in medical records per hospital standards and ensure supplies are available
• Participate in CQI activities and ongoing educational programs
