Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced electrical project engineer to manage MV (11kV-33kV) substation and cable projects end-to-end in the UAE. You will review SLDs, cable schedules, load calculations, and protection studies, while supervising trenching, jointing, termination, and testing of cables.

The role requires hands-on substations and MV cable network experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and ETAP, and strong communication to coordinate with utilities, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in MV projects, ideally with TAQA or similar utility standards.
• Hands-on experience with substations and MV cable networks.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and ETAP.
• Strong communication to coordinate with utilities, clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Handle MV (11kV-33kV) substation and cable projects end-to-end.
• Review SLDs, cable schedules, load calcs, and protection studies.
• Supervise cable laying - trenching, jointing, termination, testing.
• Coordinate approvals and inspections with TAQA.
• Manage contractors, site inspections, and QA/QC.
• Support testing & commissioning (VLF, IR testing, relay checks).
• Keep projects on track for cost, schedule, and safety.
