An international educational institution in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher and String Ensemble Lead to foster music education for students. You will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate framework and develop the String Ensemble. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's in Music, Grade 8 Violin certification, and at least 5 years of teaching experience. As a Music Teacher and String Ensemble Lead here, you will play a pivotal role in this mission, using music and artistic expression as vital tools to champion the holistic development and academic engagement of every student.
Plan, deliver, and assess innovative classroom and ensemble lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) standards.
Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that engages and motivates young learners.
Teach violin to students from Grade 3 onwards, guiding them from initial stages through to Grade 8 level (TCL, ABRSM, or equivalent).
Lead, develop, and inspire the school’s String Ensemble, curating and expanding its repertoire.
Accompany students on the piano during violin instruction and ensemble rehearsals.
Contribute actively to the school's vibrant cultural life by assisting in events, special productions, and annual concerts across Primary, Middle, and Senior school divisions.
Participate proactively in departmental collaboration, curriculum development, and school community events.
A Bachelor’s degree in Music.
Violin Proficiency: Grade 8 certification from TCL, ABRSM, or an equivalent recognized body.
Piano Skills: Demonstrated ability to play the piano to effectively accompany students.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience successfully teaching music, preferably within an international PYP or similar inquiry-based framework.
Experience in directing a school orchestra or string ensemble.
