Teamware Solutions is seeking a senior MS Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to define and guide the enterprise-wide architecture across F&O, Commerce, SCM, and CE. The role combines hands-on delivery with strategic design to ensure secure, scalable D365 deployments.
You will lead architecture, data migration, integrations via Azure services, and Power Platform enablement, mentoring engineers and aligning with governance standards.
The MS Dynamics 365 Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and guiding the technical and functional architecture for enterprise-wide Dynamics 365 solutions. This role requires a "hands-on" architectural experince who translates complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and practical D365 designs. The architect will actively lead real-world implementation cases, resolve complex technical blockers, and ensure the ongoing performance, optimization, and maintenance of large-scale, high-volume D365 deployments across the enterprise.
Design end-to-end application architectures across the MS Dynamics 365 ecosystem (F&O, Commerce,
SCM, CE) and related enterprise platforms.
Define application architecture standards, customization patterns (extension over over-layering), and best
practices for modular design, maintainability, scalability, and performance.
Evaluate out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities versus custom development, identifying technical risks,
assessing cost versus benefit, and recommending fit-for-purpose architecture decisions.
Create comprehensive Solution Blueprints that consider applications, data flows, integrations, infrastructure,
security, operations, and delivery constraints.
Hands-on Implementation & Delivery
Actively participate in real-world implementation cases, rolling up sleeves to guide complex configurations,
custom extension designs (X++, C#), and advanced data migration strategies.
Provide deep technical troubleshooting and hands-on guidance during delivery to resolve critical blockers
and ensure the implemented solution remains aligned with the approved design.
Lead the technical design of complex customizations, ensuring engineering teams follow Microsoft best
practices for code quality and performance.
Oversee and validate data migration strategies (DMF/DIXF) from legacy ERP/CRM systems into Dynamics
365.
Large-Scale System Maintenance & Optimization
Architect and oversee the post-go-live maintenance of large-scale Dynamics 365 environments supporting
thousands of users and high-volume retail transactions.
Proactively monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks in database sizing, batch job scheduling,
API limits, and complex query execution.
Guide the optimization of large-scale data sets, archiving strategies, and high-availability setups to ensure
continuous business operations across global outlets.
Partner with Microsoft Support (FastTrack) and internal teams to resolve critical infrastructure, platform, or
product-level issues.
Integration & Power Platform Enablement
Design robust integration architectures connecting D365 to enterprise systems, SaaS platforms, and legacy
applications using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management) and Dataverse.
Guide the practical adoption of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to extend
D365 capabilities without heavy custom code.
Ensure integration choices (OData, Custom Services, Dual-Write, Virtual Entities, Business Events) are
secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Manage the architecture strategy for continuous updates (Microsoft One Version), ensuring the enterprise is
prepared for platform updates with minimal business disruption.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt by deprecating legacy customizations and replacing them with
newly released OOTB features or Power Platform solutions.
Support legacy application assessment, rationalization, and modernization initiatives transitioning to the
Cross Domain Application Alignment & Security
Work closely with enterprise, data, infrastructure, and security architects to ensure D365 solutions are aligned
across the broader technology landscape.
Incorporate security by design principles, architecting robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Extensible
Data Security (XDS), and aligning with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) for identity management.
Ensure application designs properly address master data management (MDM) needs, reporting dependencies,
and operational dependencies.
Architecture Governance & Compliance Alignment
Work with the Architecture Review Board and domain architects to ensure D365 solution designs follow
approved architecture standards and governance processes.
Review application and technical designs for alignment with enterprise standards across integration, data,
infrastructure, security, and operational readiness.
Track architecture decisions, exceptions, risks, and follow-up actions through appropriate governance
forums.
Serve as the ultimate Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical advisor for MS Dynamics 365 initiatives.
Mentor D365 developers, functional consultants, and engineering teams on architecture principles, security
best practices, and technology adoption.
Lead architectural reviews, provide technical guidance, and resolve design conflicts between functional
requirements and technical constraints.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Create and maintain Solution Architecture Documents (SAD), Functional/Technical Design Documents
(FDD/TDD), system context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and architecture decision records.
Document application design standards, technical patterns, operational guidelines, and support considerations
for the Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and capability building programs for engineering, product, delivery,
and technical teams.
10+ years of experience in application development, technical architecture, or
5+ years of dedicated experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Technical
Architect for MS Dynamics 365 (specifically F&O, SCM, Commerce, and/or CE).
Proven hands-on experience leading real end-to-end D365 implementations (from
discovery and design through build, test, and go-live).
Strong track record of maintaining and optimizing large-scale, high-volume D365
enterprise environments, including performance tuning and database management.
Experience managing Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power
Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure) including hosting, deployment
patterns, scalability, security, monitoring, and cost awareness.
Experience working with integration teams on APIs, middleware, event-based flows,
data exchange, and system interaction patterns specific to D365.
Retail, ecommerce, hospitality, or supply chain business systems experience
strongly preferred.
