Job summary

Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Radiography Technologist (MRI) to perform high-quality MRI examinations and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will operate MRI equipment, select protocols, screen patients, and maintain documentation in PACS/RIS while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a MRI-focused degree or diploma, 3+ years of post-qualification MRI experience, and DOH/DHA licensing or eligibility; strong collaboration with radiologists is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3-year MRI diploma.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification MRI experience.
• Experience with 1.5T and 3T MRI (preferred).
• Experience in neuro, MSK, body, cardiac, breast, and/or angiographic MRI (preferred).
• Valid DOH or DHA license (or DOH eligibility); with valid Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection, imaging protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and radiology systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations per physician requests and protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain high-quality images.
• Screen patients for contraindications and implants.
• Select appropriate protocols and sequences per indications.
• Position patients to optimize image quality while ensuring comfort.
• Perform contrast-enhanced MRI per policies and safety guidelines.
• Manage MRI safety risks and respond to emergencies.
• Monitor patients during examinations and provide reassurance.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records in PACS and RIS.
• Participate in shift rotation and on-call as required.
• Adhere to infection control, QA, and regulatory guidelines.
