Job Title: Mold Fabricator

Location: Dubai, UAE

Role Overview

The Mold Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, modification, repair, and maintenance of molds, dies, and tooling used in plastic injection molding, blow molding, or related manufacturing processes. The role requires high precision, strong technical expertise, and hands‑on experience with machining, fitting, and finishing operations to ensure molds meet design specifications, quality standards, and production requirements. The Mold Fabricator works closely with design, production, and quality teams to support efficient and defect‑free manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and fit molds, dies, and tooling components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform precision machining operations using CNC and conventional machines such as milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
  • Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and mold layouts to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Conduct mold trials, identify issues, and carry out necessary modifications or adjustments.
  • Repair and maintain molds to ensure optimal performance, durability, and production efficiency.
  • Perform polishing, bench work, spotting, and alignment to achieve required surface finish and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve mold‑related issues and improve tool performance.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies during all operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of mold fabrication, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, defects, and tooling costs.
Essential Qualifications
  • Diploma or ITI in Tool & Die Making, Mold Making, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Mold Fabricator or Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in plastic injection molds or related tooling systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of mold fabrication techniques, materials, and machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CNC and conventional machine operations.
  • Experience with EDM, wire cut, surface grinding, and polishing processes.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of mold components, cooling systems, ejector mechanisms, and tolerances.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of CAD/CAM tools is an added advantage.
