Job summary

International Free Zone Authority (IFZA) is seeking a mobile developer to build cross‑platform apps in React Native for our Dubai operations. You will implement native device integration, REST APIs, and server‑side components, while working within a Git workflow and Agile environment.

Your role focuses on delivering performant, maintainable code, collaborating with an international team, and contributing to app architecture and feature prototypes. Short-term on-site presence in Dubai is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications with hands-on production React Native experience.
• Strong understanding of state management with Redux, Zustand, React Query or Context API.
• Experience integrating native device features and third-party SDKs.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Git and PR-based collaboration workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to write clean, modular, reusable code and work within existing codebases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications in React Native, ensuring performance and polished UX.
• Integrate native device capabilities (camera, biometrics, push notifications, etc.) and third-party SDKs.
• Build and consume TypeScript/Node.js (Express) backend services and REST APIs powering the apps.
• Work within a Git workflow and participate in code reviews.
• Write well-documented, maintainable, reusable code and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Support app build and release processes for iOS and Android.
• Troubleshoot and debug across mobile and backend layers.
• Prototype features using React Native and native mobile capabilities.

Job Description

• Build and maitain cross-platform mobile applications in React Native , ensuring performance, responsiveness, and a polished user experience.
  
• Integrate native device capabilities including camera, biometrics, secure storage, push notifications, deep linking, and third-party SDKs (payments, identity verification).
  
• Build and consume TypeScript/Node.js (Express) backend services and REST APIs that power the apps, including server-driven and dynamic UI content.
  
• Work within a structured Git workflow (issue - branch - pull request - review).
  
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, and write well-documented, maintainable, reusable code.
  
• Support the app build and release process across iOS and Android.
  
• Troubleshoot and debug across mobile and backend layers.
  
• Contribute to architectural decisions and prototype new features using React Native and native mobile capabilities where required.
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications, with strong hands-on production experience in React Native .
  
• Strong understanding of state management patterns such as Redux, Zustand, React Query, Context API , or similar.
  
• Experience integrating native device features, permissions, lifecycle management, device APIs, and third-party SDKs.
  
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  
• Experience with Git and pull request-based collaboration workflows.
  
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  
• Ability to write clean, modular, reusable code and work effectively within existing codebases.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Native mobile development experience with Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android) .
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store .
• Experience with server-driven UI or dynamic/JSON-rendered interfaces.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure .
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.
