Huzzle seeks a seasoned Compliance professional to lead AML/CFT and regulatory strategy in the UAE. As the MLRO and Compliance Officer, you will oversee CSP operations within ADGM, acting as the primary liaison with the Registration Authority to safeguard the firm’s reputation while enabling compliant growth through risk management.

You will manage sanctions screening, CDD/EDD, and transaction monitoring, with responsibility for annual returns, staff certifications, and regulatory notices.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of AML/compliance experience in UAE or international financial centre.
• Deep knowledge of ADGM regulations and UAE AML/CFT framework.
• Eligible for Fit and Proper status per ADGM/RA standards.
• Recognised AML/compliance qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA).
• Experience with transaction monitoring and SAR/STR filings via UAE FIU portal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve AML/CFT framework for a cloud infra provider operating in UAE.
• Liaise with Abu Dhabi Global Market Registration Authority and manage regulatory communications.
• Oversee sanctions screening, PEP checks, and ongoing transaction monitoring.
• Ensure CSP license conditions, client money handling, and UBO filings compliance.
• Own regulatory reporting programs, annual returns, and staff certifications.
• Advise Board on evolving regulatory requirements and escalate breaches immediately.

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance professional to lead our AML/CFT framework and regulatory strategy in the UAE. As the MLRO and Compliance Officer, you will serve as the backbone of our regulatory integrity, ensuring our Company Service Provider (CSP) operations within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) remain beyond reproach. This is a high‑impact role where you will act as the primary liaison with the Registration Authority (RA), protecting the firm’s reputation while enabling sustainable growth through expert risk management and robust oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the AML/CFT framework as a DNFBP, including the annual review of Business Risk Assessments and customer due diligence (CDD/EDD) protocols
• Manage comprehensive sanctions and PEP screening (UN, OFAC, EU, UAE) and oversee ongoing transaction monitoring for the firm and all administered entities
• Act as the designated reporting officer, filing Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports (SARs/STRs) with the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (goAML) and maintaining meticulous records
• Oversee all CSP license conditions, including client money handling, UBO filings, and the two‑business‑day record retrieval mandate
• Execute the compliance monitoring programme and manage all regulatory notifications, annual returns, and staff certifications
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the ADGM Registration Authority, managing correspondence and ensuring constant readiness for RA assessments
• Provide expert advice to the Board and senior management on evolving regulatory requirements and elevate potential breaches immediately

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of direct AML and compliance experience, specifically within the UAE or a similar international financial centre
• Deep technical knowledge of ADGM regulations and the UAE federal AML/CFT legal framework
• Confirmed eligibility to meet “Fit and Proper” status under ADGM / RA standards
• Recognised professional AML or Compliance qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA)
• Proven experience in transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and filing via the UAE FIU portal
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage strict regulatory deadlines

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Previous experience managing dual‑regulated entities (FSRA and CSP)
• Existing relationships or track record of successful engagements with the ADGM Registration Authority
• Experience in delivering high‑impact AML training sessions to diverse internal teams
