Job summary

Consult Pro is seeking a Merchant Onboarding Specialist to own the verification of new merchant accounts and review CR and UBO declarations before go-live. You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliant onboarding records.

You will review documentation, flag risks, communicate status to stakeholders, and maintain case management records while meeting SLA targets in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years in merchant onboarding, KYB, or operations compliance at a payments company, bank or fintech.
• Hands-on experience reviewing CRs and UBO declarations is required.

Responsibilities

• Review Commercial Registration (CR) documents for accuracy and validity.
• Confirm business details match official registry records.
• Maintain organized documentation records for every merchant reviewed.
• Review Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) declarations and ownership structures.
• Identify incomplete or inconsistent ownership disclosures.
• Escalate complex ownership structures for further review.
• Flag high-risk merchant profiles to the Compliance team.
• Request additional documentation from merchants when gaps are found.
• Track outstanding document requests through to resolution.
• Manage the merchant onboarding queue against agreed SLA targets.
• Keep onboarding records updated in the case management system.
• Communicate onboarding status clearly to merchants and internal stakeholders.

Role Requirements

Experience & Background

• Hands‑on experience reviewing CRs and UBO declarations is required

Functional & Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of regional business registries
• Understanding of basic KYB and AML red flags
• Comfort managing high onboarding volume under SLA pressure
• Ability to identify inconsistencies in documentation without guidance
