Atkins Realis Group seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the client-facing delivery of complex industrial and aviation projects in the UAE. The role spans design management, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, with emphasis on safety, schedule, budget and quality.

You will oversee design review, value engineering, contractor submissions, and coordination across MEP disciplines while engaging with clients, consultants and authorities to ensure operational readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• Master's degree in PM/Engineering Management advantageous.
• PMP certification and professional registrations are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of all MEP packages across industrial and aviation projects.
• Ensure safety, schedule adherence, budget control and quality compliance.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking MEP Project Manager PMC to join our PMC team in Al Ain UAE supporting the delivery of complex industrial and aviation projects The successful candidate will act as the client s trusted advisor leading all MEP aspects throughout the project lifecycle from design management through procurement construction commissioning handover and operational readiness This role requires a technically strong project leader who has developed their early career within a reputable MEP contractor environment before transitioning into project management consultancy PMC The individual must possess excellent stakeholder management skills programme awareness and the ability to engage confidently with clients consultants contractors operators and regulatory authorities

Your role

Project Leadership amp Delivery

• Lead the planning coordination and delivery of all MEP packages across industrial and aviation projects
• Ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with quality standards
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate interfaces between MEP structural architectural civil and utility disciplines
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks opportunities and mitigation measures
• Drive project controls reporting forecasting and performance management activities

Design amp Technical Management

• Oversee the review and management of MEP designs to ensure constructability
• operational efficiency and compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate value engineering initiatives and technical design optimization
• Review contractor submissions shop drawings material approvals and method statements
• Support sustainability energy efficiency and operational resilience requirements where applicable

Construction amp Commissioning

• Monitor contractor performance against baseline programme and KPIs
• Manage testing commissioning integrated systems testing and handover activities
• Ensure smooth transition from construction to operational readiness

Client amp Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary MEP point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
• Lead technical presentations workshops and progress reviews
• Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and solution-oriented leadership

Commercial amp Contract Administration

• Review contractor claims change requests variations and extensions of time
• Contribute to monthly progress reporting commercial forecasting and executive briefings

About you

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Master's Degree in Project Management or Engineering Management is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP project delivery
• Early career experience gained with a reputable MEP contractor or main contractor delivering building services installations
• Subsequent experience within a PMC engineering consultancy or project management consultancy environment
• Proven experience managing MEP delivery on large-scale industrial manufacturing logistics UAE (ideally Abu Dhabi) project experience required
• Experience working directly with clients end users and senior stakeholders

Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems Power distribution systems ELV and ICT infrastructure Fire protection and life safety systems Building Management Systems (BMS) Industrial utility networks Knowledge of international design standards and UAE regulations

Project Management Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-million-dollar projects through all project phases
• Strong risk management planning and programme management capabilities
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
• Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced project environments

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) PE or equivalent professional registration
• Membership of CIBSE, IET, PMI, APM or an equivalent professional body
