- BOQ Preparation: Develop Bills of Quantities and cost summaries for tenders.
- Budgeting: Create budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Value Engineering: Find cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.
Tendering & Procurement (The "Procurement" Part):
- Tender Docs: Prepare tender documents (invitations, specs) for MEP works.
- Bid Evaluation: Review, analyze, and compare subcontractor/supplier bids (cost, quality, reliability).
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers and contractors.
- Sourcing: Identify and select suitable MEP suppliers and contractors.
Quantity Surveying & Cost Control (The "QS" Part):
- Contract Admin: Manage MEP contracts, handle variations, claims, and change orders.
- Measurement: Measure and value work done on-site for payments.
- Final Account: Settle final accounts for MEP works.
- Liaison: Work with Project Managers, Engineers, Clients, Architects.
- Reporting: Provide financial updates, progress reports, and risk assessments.
