Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai is seeking a fashion designer who can create or visualize designs using CAD and stay up to date with fabrics, colors and silhouettes. You will plan and develop ranges and work with buyers and forecasters to meet briefs, ensuring the item suits the customer, market and price points.

You will liaise closely with buying and planning teams to translate design from a technical perspective, and bring a proactive, multitasking approach to a fast-paced fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced fashion environment.
• Up-to-date with trends in fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Strong liaison with buying/planning teams to meet briefs and price points.
• Ability to translate design into technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design using computer-aided design (CAD).
• Well versed in latest designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.).
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Planning and developing ranges.
• Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Understanding design from a technical perspective.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach.
