A healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi seeks a MIS assistant to manage patient data and support clinical documentation improvement initiatives. The role involves reviewing patient records, coordinating quality improvement efforts, and educating healthcare staff on documentation needs. Candidates should have 2 years of experience in a hospital environment and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. English fluency is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus. MIS assistant (Medical Information Support assistant ) is responsible to complete initial reviews of patient records to: Evaluate documentation to assign the principal diagnosis, pertinent secondary diagnoses, and procedures for accurate DRG assignment .
To review the insurance reconciliation audit reports.
Educate and requesting physicians and key healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation improvement and the need for accurate and complete documentation in the heath record.
Liaise and coordinate with Quality Department initiatives to improve quality of patient care, by acting as quality facilitator and primary data collector for JAWDA maternal and perinatal care quality indicators in accordance with DOH guidelines.
Preparing and maintaining cancer screening key performance indicators as per the DOH cervical cancer screening program requirements.
Collaborates with discharge planner, nursing staff, and other ancillary staff regarding interaction with physicians on documentation to resolve physician queries prior to patient discharge.
Educate member of the patient care team regarding specific documentation needs and reporting and reimbursement issues identified through daily and retrospective documentation review.
Promote improved quality of care.
Promote cost effective medical outcomes by reducing hospital stay.
Assure appropriate level of care is received by patients.
To be familiar and work in accordance with the latest MID procedures and processes and challenging any data non-compliance issues.
Assist the MIS Manager with retrieval and validation of data for audit, statistical or management purpose.
To provide regular feedback in the relation to the progress of tasks completed, those outstanding and progress towards departmental priorities, targets and deadlines.
To work as part of team and provide support when required.
To ensure the security of data and conformity with data protection act.
Continually update departmental procedures and document any new initiatives.
To support and assist with other MIS function when required.
Ensure that all the injury and poisoning notifications to be done from urgent care department are completed within stipulated time period.

5.1 Qualification : Graduated in any stream
Experience : 02 years MIS data Experience in any Hospital set up
Skill set : Active and good inter personal skills, Organizational Skills.
Able to speak English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory
