Job summary

A leading global pharmaceutical company seeks a Gulf Oncology Medical Advisor to manage Oncology Franchise Medical Strategy & Planning. Responsibilities include scientific updates, engaging local scientific leaders, and ensuring compliance in promotional activities. The ideal candidate will be a physician, dentist, or pharmacist with experience in Oncology/Hematology and fluent in Arabic and English, bringing valuable skills in clinical research and communication. Qualifications

  • Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
  • Gulf experience preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in Medical Affairs in multinational pharma companies.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with scientific leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular scientific updates for the cross-functional team.

We are looking for Gulf Oncology Medical Advisor, who will be responsible for local Oncology Franchise Medical Strategy & Planning, local Scientific Leader and Key Decision Makers engagement and planning, collaborative activities with local Oncology Societies/Scientific community, local Promotional & Non-promotional compliance for Oncology activities, materials & programs, Medical Training.

Major Responsibilities
Medical Activities
  • Ensure regular scientific updating for cross-functional team.
  • Provide medical input including patient flow analysis to the assigned tumor types.
  • Proactively communicate the science behind our Company’s Oncology portfolio to scientific leaders in terms of locally registered products & reactively respond to their queries on our Company’s pipeline.
  • Providing medical/scientific robust support with full collaboration with Policy & Access to facilitate formulary inclusions/ reimbursement.
  • Ensure regular scientific updating for Sales & Marketing team.
  • Construct & execute valuable scientific education activities to position our Company as a partner to the oncology scientific community.
  • Conduct input seeking activities (ex: Group Input Meetings) for proper understanding of local epidemiology & management patterns across indications, according to our Company’s, local & international compliance guidelines/regulations.
  • Conducts medical training to the Oncology Commercial, Market Access, Sales & Regulatory functions.
  • Ensures all Oncology promotional & non promotional activities/programs in Gulf countries are executed in a compliant manner according to Company’s regulations/codes/SOPs in adherence with Local & International compliance regulations/standards.
Clinical Research, Local Data Generation and Pharmacovigilance
  • Supports Clinical research & local data generation activities for Global, regional & local studies.
  • Identification of appropriate local sites / investigators for Oncology clinical research programs.
  • Ensures timely reporting of adverse events & assists local Pharmacovigilance team in assessment & completion of required data for optimal reporting.
Requirements
  • Physician, Dentist or Pharmacist.
  • Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
  • Gulf experience preferred.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years experienced in Medical Affairs department in multinational pharma companies.
  • Arabic & English Fluency.
  • Good utility of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel).
  • Excellent Communication Skills & ability to engage with Scientific Leaders, Key Decision Makers in a confident high-level scientific rapport.
